A Bright Kitchen Remodel Built for Entertaining and Everyday Living

By opening up the space and introducing a smart, dual-island layout, we remodeled this kitchen in a way that feels expansive, organized, and deeply connected to the surrounding views of greenery and the river.

For this stylish kitchen remodel, we implemented two islands, each serving a distinct purpose. One features a curved seating area, perfectly positioned by the windows so you can relax, gather, and take in the natural scenery. The second island is all about function, providing additional prep space and storage, making the kitchen feel like it has clearly defined zones without sacrificing flow.

A Stylish Kitchen Remodel with Purposeful Zones

This kitchen remodel was meant to feel like two kitchens in one by design. The farmhouse sink side serves as the aesthetic side, where guests gather and enjoy the space. Here, we installed a Rohl fireclay apron-front sink, known for its durability and classic look. Fired at extremely high temperatures, fireclay offers a solid, long-lasting surface that maintains its beauty over time.

Paired with the sink is a Brizo Artesso touch faucet, which integrates with smart home technology like Alexa for added convenience.

On the opposite side, we created a space where the magic is made that keeps the mess out of the way. This area houses the Wolf range top, Sub-Zero refrigerator, and a secondary Lenova stainless steel undermount sink that is also equipped with a touch faucet.

Sophisticated Elements That Shine in This Kitchen Remodel

Material selections in this elegant kitchen remodel were chosen to balance beauty and performance.

  • The countertops are Vicostone Misterio quartz, offering a clean, marble-like appearance with excellent durability.
  • Cabinet hardware from Jeffrey Alexander adds a polished finishing touch.
  • The backsplash features 4×10 white gloss ceramic subway tile from Morris Tile, complemented by a natural stone and Carrara marble insert over the range for added visual interest.
  • We used recessed lighting throughout, paired with pendant lights over the island and Kichler Glisten fixtures in the window area to create a layered, welcoming glow.

Kitchen Remodel Upgrades That Make an Impact

This kitchen remodel is full of smart, functional upgrades. A hot water dispenser from Newport Brass adds convenience, while a dedicated coffee nook creates a perfect spot to start the day.

We also reimagined the home’s layout by converting the former dining room doorway into a new walk-in pantry to improve storage and accessibility for when entertaining large groups.

The wood flooring was newly installed but carefully blended with the rest of the home for a seamless look. Even the structural column left in place to support new beams was thoughtfully incorporated into the design.
